First Commonwealth Solidifies Presence in Downtown Pittsburgh, Extends Lease in the Union Trust Building
PITTSBURGH, PA (August 26, 2026) ― First Commonwealth Bank has reaffirmed its presence in Downtown Pittsburgh and its Metro PA markets by signing a multi-year lease extension with the Davis Co. for its offices in the landmark Union Trust Building.
First Commonwealth currently leases approximately 25,000 square feet of office space on the second floor of the Union Trust Building. It also has a retail branch office located on the main level of the building at the corner of Grant Street and Oliver Avenue.
“Extending the lease at the Union Trust Building with our expanded office space solidifies our presence in Downtown Pittsburgh and our commitment to our employees, our customers and the Pittsburgh Region,” said Jon Kowalski, Regional President for First Commonwealth’s Metro PA Region, which encompasses Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Washington and portions of Armstrong and Westmoreland counties. “With the recent renovations that enhanced our second-floor offices and our Grant Street branch, we are fully committed to service our retail and commercial customers in our markets. We are excited to have the space to accommodate our continued growth in all our lines of business and support groups and look forward to growing our presence in the community.”
Recently, First Commonwealth was ranked second in the Pittsburgh Business Journal’s list of Fastest Growing Banks in the Commercial Lending space, with a year-over-year increase of 16.5 percent in the commercial and industrial loan portfolio.
First Commonwealth’s Union Trust offices accommodate its regional leadership team and expansion of the Middle Market, Business Banking, Investment Real Estate and Treasury Management teams to support First Commonwealth’s regional model of building cross-functional partnerships to meet all the needs of businesses and grow the bank’s market share.
