First Commonwealth Bank promotes Chris Adams to new position as Small Business Executive

Indiana, PA (February 11) – Chris Adams has recently been promoted to the newly created position of Small Business Executive at First Commonwealth Bank. Chris ascends to this position after serving as the Financial Solutions Sales Effectiveness Leader in charge of the Metro PA Region of First Commonwealth for the past year and a half. Before that he served in several retail banking leadership positions, since starting at First Commonwealth in April 2016.

In this new role, Adams will lead First Commonwealth’s business bankers and the retail network in building business relationships by strategizing with, educating and advising current and prospective small business customers. Chris will also be responsible to implement strategic and tactical initiatives focused on engagement of the small business communities related to loans, deposits, household and checking account growth across First Commonwealth’s footprint in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Chris is a 1994 Indiana University of PA (IUP) graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Gratz Graduate School of Business. He also has a graduate degree in Retail Bank Management from Furman University.

Chris and his wife, Fianna, have six children, Trey, Brady, Maksim, Cruze, Athena and Portia. He has served on the YMCA Membership and Program Development Committee since 2018 and is now a member of the YMCA Board. He is extremely active with the Indiana Little League, serving as a coach on each of the six teams his children play on. He has previously volunteered on the IUP and Clarion University Business Advisory Boards. He also served on the Boards of the Indiana County Small Business Incubator, as well as the Rowan Chamber of Commerce and Stanly (NC) Community College. He also continues to play baseball, where he has competed in the Indiana County 40+ League the last four years.
