Ron Wahl Joins First Commonwealth as
Communications and Media Relations Specialist

Indiana, PA (January 5, 2024) – Ron Wahl has recently joined First Commonwealth Bank as the new Communications and Media Relations Specialist.

Wahl will be responsible for media relations and corporate communications across the First Commonwealth footprint, which includes 126 branch locations throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. In his role, he’ll lead the bank’s mission-driven communications strategy through media relationships, public relations, communications channel management and message development.

He will be based out of First Commonwealth’s downtown Greensburg offices.

Wahl comes to First Commonwealth with more than forty years of communications and media relations experience most recently with the YMCA of Greensburg. He also held senior communications positions with the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Pittsburgh Athletics Department.

Wahl received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his masters in Journalism/Communications from Point Park College. He and his wife, Cathy, live in Penn Township and have three adult children and five grandchildren.
