Why Your Credit Score Matters

Your credit score is used by lenders to determine your likelihood of making payments on your loan, and your score can impact the interest rate offered to you by a bank or credit union. Credit scores can also be used by insurance and utility companies to determine coverage and rates. Credit scores have truly become a critical part of your financial journey, as oftentimes your score can mean the difference between affording the house you’d love to call home and waiting to buy so you can improve your score.
