How to Add an External Account with Money Manager Snapshot
Did you know you can add accounts that you have at other banks to your profile in your First Commonwealth Bank Online and Mobile Banking? Whether you want to see transactions and balances of all of your accounts, or make transfers between them, it's possible.
Money Manager Snapshot adds convenience to your life and makes banking with First Commonwealth Bank even easier. When you add accounts from other banks to your First Commonwealth Bank online banking profile, you can start to see your entire financial picture in one place, as soon as you log in to your First Commonwealth Bank online and mobile banking. Keep in mind that these accounts can be added for viewing balances and transactions only. Keep reading for instructions to set up an external account to make transfers to and from.
How to add an external account for viewing transactions and balances:
- Log in to online banking at www.fcbanking.com or the First Commonwealth Banking mobile app
- From your dashboard, select the three dots in the upper right-hand comer
- Select Link an Account from the options
- Confirm your approval to share information by selecting "Next"
- Choose the financial institution where your external account is housed from the options
- Enter your username and password for your external financial institution account
- Confirm your permissions
- Confirm the account(s) you'd like to connect
Once you complete the steps above, you'll be able to see your accounts in the First Commonwealth Bank dashboard to view transactions and balances.
How to add an account for transferring money:
If you need to make transfers between your First Commonwealth Bank and external accounts, you can do that too. Instead of selecting "Link an Account" in the instructions above, log in online or in your mobile banking app.
- Log in to online banking at www.fcbanking.com or the First Commonwealth Banking mobile app
- From the Navigation menu, click or tap Accounts
- Online: Click on Add an external transfer account or in Mobile click the + sign then Make external transfers
- Enter your password for authentication
- Enter a nickname for the account, routing and account number, and select Checking or Savings.
- Two small deposits will be sent to the account for verification within 1 to 2 business days.
- Once you've received the deposits in the external account, come back to online or mobile banking.
- Go to Settings, Accounts, External Transfers
- Enter the amounts to complete the verification of the account
