James Bish

James Bish is the Senior Vice President and Brokerage Sales Manager for First Commonwealth Advisors, where he leads and coaches a team of more than 20 bank-based financial advisors serving individuals, families, business owners, and organizations throughout the region. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, James is passionate about helping advisors elevate their practices while ensuring clients receive thoughtful, comprehensive guidance to achieve their financial goals. 

Prior to his current leadership role, James built a successful career as a Financial Advisor, managing client relationships and delivering investment and wealth management solutions through First Commonwealth Advisors, Key Investment Services, and National City Investments. His experience spans advisor development, retail banking partnerships, business growth strategies, and client-focused financial planning. 

James began his career as a licensed banker and junior advisor, later advancing to an investment trainer for the state of Pennsylvania before becoming a Financial Advisor and eventually a sales leader. This progression provides him with a unique understanding of advisor development, branch engagement, and client relationship management. 

A graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Investment Management, James holds multiple industry licenses and professional credentials, including the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC®) designation, FINRA Series 6,7, 63, and 65 registrations, and Pennsylvania insurance licenses.

Personally, James lives in Butler with his wife Mindy and their three sons.  James is the President of the Butler Golden Tornado Hockey Association, spending much of his free time at the ice rink with his sons.  He is a far-from-scratch golfer and a lifelong Pirates fan as well.
