First Commonwealth Welcomes Regional President to Its Central Ohio Market
COLUMBUS, Ohio (November 25, 2024) ― First Commonwealth Bank has named a new regional president for its Central Ohio market, which include 11 offices in Delaware and Franklin counties.
Steve Bennett, an experienced leader with more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry largely in Central Ohio, joins First Commonwealth after serving the past eight years as a Regional Middle Market Director. A certified treasury professional, Bennett also led teams in Business Banking, Public Finance, Corporate Banking and Treasury Management at several financial organizations, mostly in the Columbus area.

In his role, Bennett will be the driving catalyst for business development, recruitment and partner collaboration and lead the region’s corporate banking team in Central Ohio, while working closely with all of its Central Ohio partners as part of First Commonwealth’s regional model to drive growth in the region across all areas of business.
Outside of banking, Bennett has been active in the community and has been a board member of Ohio Chamber of Commerce, Ohio Bankers league, Children’s Hunger Alliance, One Columbus and Buckeye Ranch.
A graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and minors in Economics and Philosophy, Bennett lives in Lewis Center with his wife, Brenda.
