First Commonwealth’s Vicki Fox Receives “Women Making a Difference” Recognition

INDIANA, PA. (November 1, 2024) ― The Pittsburgh Business Central announced Vicki Fox was selected to its 13th Annual Women Making a Difference in Central PA list in its bi-monthly Women in Business publication.

Established in 1991, The Pennsylvania Business Central is the number-one resource in Central Pennsylvania, reaching more than 40,000 readers in 20-plus counties in Central PA.  Women in Business, PCB’s bi-monthly periodical, has a special focus on this specific market and is one of the publication’s most popular periodicals.

For the past 13 years, Women in Business has recognized those women in central Pennsylvania whose intelligence, drive, determination and dedication have led to business success and community involvement through the “Women Making a Difference” recognition program.

“I am so humbled to receive this recognition,” said Fox, who has spent more than four decades in the banking industry. “But with every award, it takes many individuals to work collectively for a cause. We are extremely fortunate to have such a leadership team, led by Mike (Price) and Jane (Grebenc), for making D&I such a strategic imperative of our bank and for promoting community service as we all strive to live our mission of improving the financial lives of our customers and their businesses.”

The women showcased this year were selected from many nominations, who have made a positive impact on the central Pennsylvania area by consistently moving their business forward, adapting to major changes in their personal and professional life, and giving back to the community through volunteering or mentoring.

Nominations were submitted by local business executives, community leaders and the PBC’s readers. The nominations were then submitted to the St. Francis University Business Development Center for the final selection of candidates.

To recognize all the “Women Making A Difference” selections, the publication ran profile features in the Oct. 31 issue.

Since being named First Commonwealth’s first D&I Officer in July 2021, Fox has been the leading force of the bank’s DEI engagement throughout the organization and community. She has paved the way for First Commonwealth’s Employee Resource Groups and the bank’s consistent progress in its D&I scorecard metrics. She has been instrumental in connecting Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) programs, which identify points of intersectionality with how the bank focuses on low income and marginalized communities.
