First Commonwealth’s Amy Fleenor Named to Columbus Business First’s 40-Under-40 List

COLUMBUS ― (May 16, 2024) First Commonwealth Bank’s Amy Fleenor has been named to the Columbus Business First’s annual 40-under-40 list, recognizing emerging talent from the publication’s circulation area, which encompasses the 10 counties of Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Perry, Pickaway and Union counties.

This is the 32nd class in the paper's longest-running awards program, highlighting nearly 1,300 honorees since the first group in 1993. Columbus Business First featured all the honorees in their May 17 issue, and online at columbusbusinessfirst.com.

Nominees were judged on their career accomplishments, level of community involvement and submitted letters of recommendation, among other factors.

“We are proud of Amy’s recognition to this impressive list of professionals in the Columbus area,” said Jane Grebenc, President and Chief Revenue Office for First Commonwealth Bank. “She is very deserving of this award, not only because of her substantial contributions here at First Commonwealth, but also her significant and meaningful service to her community.”

Fleenor, Deputy General Counsel for Lending and Commercial Banking, joined First Commonwealth in March 2018 and serves as the bank’s primary in-house legal counsel on lending matters and issues of Ohio law. She also advises executives, senior management, and other teammates on structuring, documenting, and securing loan transactions in an effort to best protect the bank’s interests and efficiently serve clients among many other responsibilities.

Outside of First Commonwealth, Fleenor volunteers her time and talents with a variety of professional, charitable, and community organizations. She is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Mid-Ohio and as a Director and Chair of the annual awards committee with the Columbus Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

Additionally, Fleenor volunteers with 1DivineLine2Health, Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed (FLOW), Stonewall Columbus, and Ohio University’s Volunteer Alumni Admissions Network.

A graduate of Leadership Columbus’s Signature Program (Class of 2020) and Nonprofit Board Governance Training, Fleenor earned her bachelor’s degree in English and philosophy (pre-law) from Ohio University and her juris doctorate from University of Virginia.
