First Commonwealth Names Michael Cirilli Chief Compliance Officer

March 7, 2025, INDIANA, PA ― In a move to respond to growth and further develop its new Risk leadership team, First Commonwealth Bank has named Michael Cirilli its Chief Compliance Officer. 

Cirilli’s appointment is part of a recent realignment in its Risk area and fills the position previously held by Linda Metzmaier, who was promoted to Chief Risk Officer in January. In his role, Cirilli will oversee Fair Lending, Regulatory Compliance, and AML/CFT areas.

Cirilli brings extensive experience to First Commonwealth and has spent nearly 18 years in the financial services industry.  The past nine years he served as a senior compliance examiner at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).  He also held positions at a national bank and a lender processing servicing company.  From 2006-2008, he served in the Air Force as a cryptologic linguist.

A lifelong resident of the South Hills in Pittsburgh, Cirilli graduated magna cum laude from Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a concentration in economics.  He and his wife, Ashley, live in Whitehall, PA, with their teenaged son, Anthony.
