First Commonwealth Names Megan Detwiler as Community Engagement Position
INDIANA, PA (June 14, 2024)–Megan Detwiler, who has been part of the First Commonwealth Bank staff for nine years, has been named to the role of Community Engagement Manager.
In her new position, Detwiler will partner across all areas of the bank, regionally and corporately, to lead First Commonwealth’s community giving through donations and sponsorships, in addition to equipping the bank’s local teams to represent our brand at events and volunteer opportunities.
Detwiler started at First Commonwealth in March of 2015 and has held roles on the retail banking team and product management teams, including Financial Solutions Manager, Small Business Solutions Specialist and Product Manager. She most recently served as a Senior Analyst and Project Manager for the bank’s retail team.
“We are thrilled to have Megan join the community engagement area of our Marketing and Communications team,” said Kris Levan, Senior Vice President and Marketing and Communications Manager. “Through her personal and professional experiences, Megan has developed a passionate community spirit and a business development appreciation for how strong community partnerships make for strong business relationships. We are confident that Megan will be a great mission-minded leader in this area.”
Detwiler’s personal community service is impressive, including serving on the boards for the Rotary Club of Hollidaysburg and the Blair County Community Action Program; and a co-host of First Commonwealth’s Space Employee Resource Group, which is dedicated to supporting parents and caregiving employees. She also founded a scholarship for Hollidaysburg high school students pursuing further education in memory of her late father.
