First Commonwealth Names Business Banking Leader in Metro PA Region

INDIANA, PA (May 13, 2025) ― First Commonwealth Bank has announced an addition to its Metro PA Business Banking leadership team.

Benito Rivera, an experienced banker with more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry, has been named Business Banking Team Leader for First Commonwealth’s Metro PA Region, which encompasses Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Washington and portions of Armstrong and Westmoreland counties.  Benito will be based out of the Union Trust Building in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Benito returns to First Commonwealth, spending seven years at the bank as a retail office manager from 2004-2011.  Since then, he went on to hold leadership positions at several local and regional banks which have presence in the Greater Pittsburgh area.  Most recently, Benito served the past eight years at Northwest Bank as a Regional Commercial Relationship Manager and Team Leader in Business Banking.

Outside of banking, Benito has been active in the community serving on boards including La Promesa Foundation and Phase 4 Learning Center. 

Benito has received certifications from Center for Financial Training (2016) and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association 2019 School of Commercial Lending.  He and his wife, Lisa, live in Pittsburgh.
