First Commonwealth Bank’s Megan Detwiler Receives PA Bankers’ Future Under 40 Award
INDIANA, PA (September 17, 2025) — Megan Detwiler, Community Engagement Manager for First Commonwealth Bank, was named a recipient of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s 2025 Future Under 40 Award.

Detwiler, who joined First Commonwealth in March of 2015, was selected for the award which honors banking industry leaders, aged 40 years and younger, who have made tremendous impact on their institution, the community and the industry. This year, 10 individuals from PBA-member banks were honored for the Future Under 40 Awards. She and the other nine recipients will receive their awards at the PA Bankers’ Young Professional Conference Awards Luncheon, Sept. 24, at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.
“We are proud of Megan’s recognition for this impressive PA Bankers’ award,” said Jane Grebenc, President and Chief Revenue Office for First Commonwealth Bank. “She is very deserving of the award, not only because of her substantial contributions here at First Commonwealth and commitment to improving the financial lives of our neighbors and their businesses, but also for her significant and meaningful service to our communities.”
Detwiler has held several roles at First Commonwealth before being promoted to her current position in June of 2024, serving as a Senior Analyst and Project Manager for the bank’s Financial Solutions Network, a Financial Solutions Manager, Small Business Solutions Specialist and Product Manager.
During her career, Detwiler has earned numerous accolades and recognitions. She was chosen to First Commonwealth’s Sales Leadership Council, received the bank’s Golden Tower Award for community involvement and is a graduate of the PA Bankers Association Commercial Lending School.
Detwiler is equally active in the community. She has been a Rotary Club member the past four years and a former board member. In addition, Detwiler serves as a board member for Center for Community Action and is on the Development & Finance Committee for the board. She also serves on the marketing committee team for the United Way of Southwestern PA and is a former board member of the Allegheny Mountain Toast Masters, an organization whose mission is to empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders.
Perhaps Detwiler’s greatest community contribution—and one closest to her heart—is the Donald F. Rentz Memorial Scholarship, which she founded in memory of her late Father. The scholarship is given annually to a Hollidaysburg (PA) High School student who had a parent who has died to help fund post-high school education.
Detwiler graduated from St. Francis (PA) University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She and her husband, Dan, live in Altoona, PA, with their daughter, Ella.
