First Commonwealth Bank’s Jon Kowalski Promoted to Regional President
INDIANA, PA (February 2, 2024) – Jon Kowalski, a corporate banking executive at First Commonwealth Bank, has been promoted to Metro PA Regional President.
Kowalski joined First Commonwealth Bank in December 2022 as a corporate banking group manager. His promotion is effective Feb. 1, and he will report to Corporate Banking Executive Vice President Mike McCuen.
“Jon joined us with great leadership potential,” said McCuen. “He has exceled in helping us grow our middle market space in the region, and we look forward to him taking on this new leadership role in our Metro PA region.”
Kowalski has an extensive background in corporate banking and credit administration, spanning more than two decades. Prior to joining FCB, Kowalski spent seven years at a regional bank (2015-22), most recently serving as senior vice president/Western PA Market Manager and C&I Group Leader. He also held positions as senior vice president/C&I Team Leader and vice president of commercial banking there. Prior to that, Kowalski served as a vice president for corporate banking from 2005-2015.
A graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh’s Leadership Development Initiative Program, Jon is also a member of the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation’s Children’s Trust and active in numerous other organizations throughout Western Pennsylvania.
As a result of Kowalski’s promotion, Regional President Dave Reed, who temporarily led the Metro PA region, will return to his leadership focus as Regional President for Community PA. Reed also leads FCB’s Capital Region, which was newly acquired by the Bank in early 2023. The Metro PA region encompasses Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Washington and portions of Armstrong and Westmoreland counties.
Jon is a graduate of Allegheny College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He resides in Pittsburgh with his wife, Jackie, and three children, Logan, Haley and Camryn.
