Eric and Casey Lege wanted to build something that they could pass on to their son. Formerly in the healthcare industry, Eric was tiring of the time spent on airplanes and in hotel rooms which meant missing time with his now 5 year old son.
I was ready to build my own business into something that my son could eventually be part of and hopefully someday take the helm
In January of 2019, the Lege family started Healthier Pittsburgh, a healthy vending machine company that replaces candy bars and chips with more nutritious options. Soon after, to complement the vending company, the Lege’s purchased two Edible Arrangements franchises, in Mt. Lebanon and Robinson township. The Lege’s worked side-by-side with Adam Huber, SBA Business Development Officer, who gave the Lege’s honest assessments of their vision and helped them understand what to expect working through the SBA process.
In every way, Adam exceeded what another bank had failed to do for us. He was the person I leaned on most to help us understand the steps needed, expectations of timing, documents I would need, and much more.
The Lege’s and Adam are already working on the “what’s next” for their business: “our next phase will organically happen as we work to discover what make sense and fits into our corporate profile.”
