First Commonwealth Bank Welcomes Credit System Manager
Indiana, PA (May 29) – First Commonwealth Bank recently announced the addition of Eric Thompson, as the Credit System Manager.
A 32-year veteran of the financial services industry with over 20 years in banking, Thompson joins First Commonwealth Bank from PNC Bank, where he held the title of Vice President and Senior Manager in Internal Audit. Prior to PNC, Mr. Thompson held various roles in Credit Risk Administration at FirstMerit Bank in Akron, OH including Risk, Regulatory Compliance & Operations Management. His responsibilities there included strategic planning, implementing process improvements, data analytics, credit policy, board reporting and ALLL reserve analysis. He acted as designated contact for The Office of the Comptroller of Currency, The Federal Reserve Bank and external auditors. Before joining FirstMerit, Thompson worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland as a Bank Examiner.

Thompson holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Myers University of Cleveland, OH and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron, Akron OH.
