Mary Ruth Wilson currently serves as a Financial Advisor at First Commonwealth Advisors and has been a member of the team since 2008. With 15 years of experience with First Commonwealth Bank, 9 years of experience as a Financial Advisor as well as five years in the Long Term Care industry, Mary Ruth brings a focus on identifying her client's primary needs for retirement, insurance and education planning.
At First Commonwealth, Mary Ruth specializes in retirement income planning and strategies to assist those clients approaching and in retirement.
Mary Ruth received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Penn State University. In addition, she is also a fully licensed advisor, holding insurance licenses in Life, Accident and Health, as well as FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and earned her CRC designation. The Certified Retirement Counselor® designation was created by the International Foundation for Retirement Education to demonstrate a mastery of retirement subject matter, a commitment to the retirement planning profession, and adherence to a code of ethics and continuing education requirements.
Mary Ruth serves as the HR Team Chair for the Tri County Church of God's Leadership Team. She previously served as Treasurer on the Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group Board (DDRG) and for 6 years as director on the DuBois Area School Board.
