"Feeling at Home with First Commonwealth."

By: Richard Barranti & Larry Walker, Owners
Richard Lawrence Interiors

Larry Walker and Richard Barranti of Richard Lawrence Interiors have maintained a successful partnership for more than 25 years. They were looking to form a new partnership with First Commonwealth when they sought financing to move their interior design business into a beautiful new 8,000 square foot home designed exclusively for them in the historic Cork Factory.

"Moving to the Cork Factory on Smallman Street in the Strip District will give us greater exposure and will enable us to go back to doing business the way we did when we started on the corner of Walnut and Ivy in Shadyside nearly 25 years ago. We are looking forward to reviving our tradition of opening our Christmas Shop the day after Labor Day each year stocked with nearly 3000 Santa's and other holiday decorations.

In the home furnishings and design business, clients want personalized service. Over the years, we have worked with other banks but we have never felt like we were receiving the level of service and attention we offer our own clients. From the beginning, First Commonwealth has given us an ‘absolutely positive’ banking experience. Our business banker takes time to meet with us and understand our business. Our philosophy of design is to work with our clients to find heirloom-quality furnishings that compliment what they already own. We feel we have found a banking partnership with First Commonwealth that mirrors our philosophy, making us feel right at home."
