Community Commitment

First Commonwealth continues to reach out to local communities in western and central Pennsylvania.

First Commonwealth provides financial support through contributions and sponsorships to worthy community programs which enhance the quality of life of its citizens. First Commonwealth also encourages its employees to participate in making their communities better places to live and work by volunteering their time and talents to those worthwhile community programs.

First Commonwealth Named Employer of the Year

Business & Professional Women of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA, awarded First Commonwealth with its “2011 Employer of the Year” recognition on February 6, 2012.

This citation is awarded to the business firm or employer who has contributed most, in the opinion of the judges, to the employment, advancement and recognition of women. The Indiana BPW organization will next submit First Commonwealth’s winning entry into the Pennsylvania State competition.

Cheryl Parzych, Executive Vice President and Wealth Services Manager, accepted the award on behalf of First Commonwealth.
