Community Commitment

First Commonwealth continues to reach out to local communities in western and central Pennsylvania.

First Commonwealth provides financial support through contributions and sponsorships to local community programs which enhance the quality of life of its citizens. Our local offices make decisions about events and organizations in their neighborhoods as they understand the unique needs in their areas.

We also encourage our employees to participate in making their communities better places to live and work by volunteering their time and talents to those worthwhile community programs.

We also participate in the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program which provides support to those organizations dedicated to the education of our youth. For more information regarding the EITC program please visit here.

We’re Sharing with Our Communities This Holiday Season

Join in with our community offices to give back this holiday season.

Salvation Army: Treasures For Children
Stop by any of our participating First Commonwealth offices to support this year’s Salvation Army’s Treasures for Children campaign. The "Angels" are the actual names of children and what they would like for Christmas. Someone chooses an angel off the Christmas tree and then buys the requested gift, making a difference in a child’s life. Donations will be accepted from November 1 through December 5, 2012.

American Red Cross
Help touch the lives of others this holiday season by stopping by participating locations beginning Monday, November 26, 2012 (see complete list below) and donating money for the American Red Cross. Your donation will help services in five key areas: community services that help the less fortunate; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs. Thank you in advance for your help and support.

In addition, our Johnstown offices will be selling ornaments representing the American Red Cross services to trim local office trees.
