Community Commitment
First Commonwealth continues to reach out to local communities in western and central Pennsylvania.
First Commonwealth provides financial support through contributions and sponsorships to local community programs which enhance the quality of life of its citizens. Our local offices make decisions about events and organizations in their neighborhoods as they understand the unique needs in their areas.
We also encourage our employees to participate in making their communities better places to live and work by volunteering their time and talents to those worthwhile community programs.
We also participate in the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program which provides support to those organizations dedicated to the education of our youth. For more information regarding the EITC program please visit here.

BBB Holds Secure Your ID Day
First Commonwealth Bank is happy to sponsor the Western Pennsylvania Better Business Bureau’s "Secure Your ID" Day October 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Peters Township Public Library, 616 East McMurray Road, McMurray, PA.
The event features free onsite document destruction. BBB volunteers will offload disposable items and shred them on the spot. Each vehicle may dispose a maximum of three boxes/bags of paper-based materials.
Area residents and small businesses in the South Hills of Pittsburgh are encouraged to attend this free event and take a key step in identity protection by shredding and properly disposing of their sensitive documents. Participants may bring up to three (3) boxes or bags of documents to be shredded and will also take home the tips and resources they need to help protect their ID.
