  • ‘Time to be First’ Weekly Service Recognition Program – Go above and beyond in your daily work, and you could be one of our winners with your story and photo featured on our company’s intranet, or move on to be our quarterly award winner.
  • Monthly Employee Recognition Program – Teamwork takes on a special meaning when each month, our departments recognize one of their own shining stars who stepped up for the team. All our monthly winners are featured in our company newsletters and then are eligible to win the annual award for their department.
  • Community Service Awards – Got a heart for community service? Each quarter, one exceptional employee is selected to receive the company’s coveted Golden Tower Award , and each month, two First Commonwealth employees are selected to receive the company’s Spirit of Community Service Awards.
  • A special honor is also given to employees who have reached career milestones with our company through our Employee Service Anniversary Recognition Program.

Career Development

It’s time to put your career first and we’ve got the programs to help you grow. Check out these unique programs that will strengthen your skills and put you at the front of the pack.

  • Management Development Program/Retail Banking Development Program/Corporate Banking Development Program
    Try out one of our 16-18 month programs with multiple on-the-job rotations and development activities that help you to become strong, successful banking professionals. When you’re done, you’ll be ready to step into a leadership and professional positions, to fill the role as community office management or to develop into a Corporate Banking relationship manager.
  • Career Mentorship Program
    This 12-month program matches protégés with mentors from members of First Commonwealth’s senior management. Each protégé has the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities such as one-on-one monthly mentor / protégé meetings, group development sessions led by internal and external speakers, required readings and literature discussions, and community service events.
  • Internal Job Posting System
    Through our Internal Job Posting System employees can apply for other positions within the organization that meet their career goals and interests. The future is only limited to the creativity and talents of our employees.
