Community Commitment

Supporting the communities in which we serve…

Monday evenings 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., April 21st through May 19th

First Commonwealth has partnered with Neighborhood Housing Services, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, and eight other financial institutions in Pittsburgh to promote financial literacy among teens in select Allegheny County communities through a series of financial fitness courses.

The My Money, My Life program is designed to educate teens ages 16 to 19 years of age about bank accounts, budgeting, credit, and financial planning for the future.  After completion of the course comprised of 5 evening classes, students are rewarded with a $100 deposit in a no-fee savings account opened at a Partner bank.

A program course starts on April 21, 2008 in Tarentum with several First Commonwealth Bank community office managers on hand to help instruct the class.
