First Commonwealth in the Community

First Commonwealth continues to reach out to local communities in western and central Pennsylvania. First Commonwealth provides financial support through contributions and sponsorships to worthy community programs which enhance the quality of life of its citizens. First Commonwealth also encourages its employees to participate in making their communities better places to live and work by volunteering their time and talents to those worthwhile community programs.

First Commonwealth® is proud to sponsor the Award for Community Service at the 2008 Westmoreland County Winners’ Circle Luncheon on Wednesday, May 14th.

Partner in Teen Financial Fitness Initiative

First Commonwealth® kicks off the My Money, My Life program for 2008 as sponsor bank for one of this year’s financial literacy programs. This program, one in a series of ten courses scheduled for this year, begins on April 21st, 2008 in the community of Tarentum, Allegheny County.

First Commonwealth Center for Economics Education at IUP

First Commonwealth®, Economics Pennsylvania and Indiana University of Pennsylvania are committed to helping students make sense of economics. Officials from these great organizations have signed a memorandum of understanding to formerly establish the “First Commonwealth Center for Economics Education” at IUP.
