Hometown Hero and Fly In Festival '09

Indiana County is loaded with heritage and annual public festivals. This year’s event marks the 50th anniversary of the naming and dedication of the Jimmy Stewart Airport.

To celebrate the festivities, the airport will display a P-51 Mustang from Warbirds Over Long Island and a P-40 Warhawk. There will be numerous aviation displays and plenty of great food.

The Indiana Trolley will provide FREE shuttles between the airport and The Jimmy Stewart Museum every half hour. The museum opens at 10:00 a.m. both Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14, 2009.

To learn more, contact Tim Harley at the museum at 724.349.6112.
