First Commonwealth Supports the American Diabetes Association

As part of our ongoing commitment to support and promote health awareness in our communities, First Commonwealth is proud to support the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Over 23 million adults and children in the United States have diabetes types I and II (visit diabetes.org to see more stats). Both genetics and environmental factors play a role in this disease where the body does not produce or cannot properly use insulin. The cause of diabetes continues to be a mystery, which is why First Commonwealth continues to support the ADA by sponsoring the 2009 Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes.

By participating in Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes, you can get fit, reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes and help support the American Diabetes Association.
